German Vehicle Skins by Recon
This is for the most part a editor resource. It DONT CONTAIN ANY MISSION so far. It doesnt replace the skins if your load it with other mods. Some Skins are made for the GSM-Mod respective the VALOUR Mod, some are Vanilla. It contains several modified skins for vehicles, helmets of the wehrmacht and in future cannons, which are not already covered by asurekas fine skins. Some skins are just changed RGB-Settings or combined vanilla-skins. The palet of included vehicles will reflect the year 1941-42 and will be extended in future. Further included is my wintermap "General Winter" and the WinterSkins for german soldiers made by Miggie.
Part of this mod are also "Units" of the 1.PzDiv and 14.InfDiv (1941/42) with own Identities and Portraits. (Attention still experiemental!)
Why?
I was not appealled by the original Camouflage-Schemes, delievered by the devs. The german regulations for the application of Camo-Schemes were generous in her interpretation. Due this "allowed" freedom the Crews and field maintanance team created a large palet of schemes with different patterns, colors and application techniques. From the detailled "Hinterhalt"-Pattern (ambush-pattern) applied in the factory to the wildly brushed pattern in the field workshops, the german vehicles displayed a enourmous variation. Troops in combat were always improvising and used diffferent techniques caused by shortage of time and/or materials. So the "perfect" white tank or helmet was not always wanted by the soldiers due to camouflageeffects and weatherconditions too. A lot of summer-pattern of german tanks are documented in books and web-sources. I will try to implement more always with information about the localization.
This mod is adressed on missiondesigners and also free to use in own mods if properly credited. Whats properly credited? Please add besides the Information on the workshop, an ReadMe in the mod with detailled Information of the imported content. Due to the pure amount of different skins and future updates is my recommendation to export the certain skin in to the own mission/mod rather then just connect the own creation with the skin. This prevents bad surprises connected with filechanges or other things and keep the own mod small in size. Take what you need and please dont just dump all the skins in your mod/mission. You keep as already mentioned your mission small in size and keep the overall view too. This Pack also needs serious and constructive criticisms. You discovered errors (transition, damage etc.) in the skins? There are still some "transition-errors" in the skins so please report!

If you find skins in the mod which are not listed in the content-list (dicussion area) so it is caused by laziness or slopiness from the author. Please dont report them as buggy! But you get a hint whats coming. 😉

Despite the fact that i create Wehrmacht Skins and my avatar is a little Wehrmachtsoldier i react extremely allergic to any swastikas, ss related profile names and inappropiate gloryfication of the german role in ww2. So dont wonder if you dont get an answer for a friendrequest…
