Description:

Ever felt that Eu4 battles were too slow, like you weren’t killing the required 3 French men per second? Well, now you can!
This mod increases the amount of casualties taken by armies a day while also decreasing the die to 6 from 10 to decrease randomness in battles.

Other things changed include:
Movement speed of armies and fleets,
Recruitment time of armies and fleets,
Reduces time of truces, coring and spying,
Raises maximum general pips to 10 and the minimum to 3 (total),
You can now retreat after 6 days of battle (was less but AI abused it to escape naval combat(now much harder to stackwipe to compensate for this))
Each siege phase now takes 20 days instead of 30 so sieges and occupations are much faster,
and many more smaller changes. Including improving some nations ideas that I felt were limited.

At the beginning of the game expect battles to last 4-6 days (cometimes 1-2 days if you overwhelm them enough) and have a few thousand casualties with battles rarely exceeding 10k a day unless they are large or are in rough terrain where an attacker will be massacred. Once you start getting powerful artillery and larger armies the death toll dramatically raises and as you can see in the second screenshot, over 2 million casualties in a 2 year time period in what was a brutal war. And that wasn’t even the HRE league war or the napoleonic war so you can imagine how brutal they can be. An example of one of the most devastating battles I’ve experienced was when the pesky Prussians (same ones I’m allied with in that screenshot) tried to kill my ally, heavily outnumbered but with an imperitive technological advantage 12:11 I set my army up in the Alpine mountains and awaited an invasion. When it came the battle of the Trentino began and on 1 day alone 15,000 casualties were sustained, predominantly Prussian as they were mowed down by my muskets in the cold mountains. Day 2 saw a similar amount of Prussians march into the slaughter as my superior firepower and well chosen terrain gave me an unrivalled edge in the battle. Day 3 calmed down a bit with only a few thousand casualties taken before a Prussian retreat. Taking advantage of this I went on the offensive and cornered the hapless Prussian army at Treviso with a 1 day sw in mind I demanded Prussia surrender in the war or have his entire army destroyed. It was a heroic victory, and one that could never be gained with such swiftness in vanilla.

There are plenty of wars in history that were decided by a single colossal battle and this mod aims to replicate that, while also maintaining the possibility of suffering through a long drawn out war with hundreds of thousands, if not millions of casualties. This is real war!

Please leave suggestions asto anything more you’d like to see added or removed from the mod. In time I intend to turn this into a full overhaul of the combat system, I am learning as I make it so in time I hope the mod will become even better

Inspiration for this mod comes from the original "Austerlitz" mod, this mod however, has not been updated since 1.16 and so I decided to make my own version of that mod with some of my own new changes, such as increased movement speed. The reason I wanted to create this mod again was because I was frustrated with the unnecessarily long combat in Eu4.
At the battle of Waterloo approximately 65,000 men died (combined from both sides) in one day, Borodino saw 70,000-80,000 casualties and Agincourt saw 10,000-15,000 French casualties and 600 English. In Eu4 you can maybe get those losses but it can take more than a week (and even a month for the losses seen in larger battles to reach those of Waterloo and Borodino). This, I felt, had to change.
