Toprus’ Polish Trackside Signs Pack
Hi!
This one is kind of a different pack and it may actually be the first one of its kind on the steam workshop. I present to you the pack of Polish trackside signs.
Trackside signs are used to inform the driver of the train about the situation on the track – what’s ahead of him and what should he expect.
This pack doesn’t include a few signs, which are either completely pointless from the game or very uncommon.
Things included:
-W1 sign – placed under masts of distant signals
-W4 sign – placed at the end of station platforms, used to inform where does the front of the train stop
-W5 sign – it’s the shunting limit for a station, beyond that point shunting is only allowed if the track is blocked by the signal tower
-W6 sign – proceed with more caution – placed mainly where there is a high risk of an accident
-W6a sign – placed in the braking distance from a railroad crossing
-W8 sign – informs that soon, a W9 sign will appear and sets the speed beyond the W9 sign.
-D6 sign – works like a W8 sign, except it is referring to a W14 sign instead of the W9 sign and marks the speed on a piece of track marked by those signs. Used when an unexpected situation happens resulting in the need to slow down trains (lowered field of view or track damage)
-W9 sign – proceed with speed set by the W8 sign
-W11a signs – placed accordingly 100 meteres, 200 meters and 300 meters from a distant signal
-W11b signs – placed accordingly 100 meteres, 200 meters and 300 meters from a distant signal which reffers to a signal positioned on electrified track (if the line the distant signal is on is unelectrified)
-W12 sign – also called steam train sign – indicates that the ashbox must be closed and sprayed with water, placed near places that can catch on fire – wooden bridges and stations
-W13 single sign – indicates that a single obstacle will be on the trackside and snowplows must turn off their turbine mechanizms
-W13 double sign – indicates that two or more obstacles will be on the trackside within 150 meters from eachother and snowplows must turn off their turbine mechanizms
-W14 works like W9 sign except a D6 sign is referring to it
-W16 sign – indicates that withinin the braking distance, there will be a passenger stop (not a whole station)
-W27 sign – indiates the speed on the railway line (in two versions – 70km/h and 150km/h)
-W28 sign – indicates that you need to change your radio channel (in two versions – channel 2 and 3)
-5 difrenet slope indicating signs – they tell you about the grade your train is on and what grade will be soon.
I hope you have fun, if there are any bugs, feel free to report them.
Just a tip at the end – you may not be able to place them very close to the track but if you place them first and then the track on top of them, you can have them as close as you want!
Cheers!
