No Job Authors
This hasn’t changed from default behavior. If your pawn with 2 crafting finishes the job, it’s gonna be Awful. If your pawn with 20 finishes, it’s gonna be whatever quality a 20 in crafting will yield.
If a pawn is machining or fabricating and gives up halfway through to go perform some other task, you are left with an Unfinished Thing that is locked to that author. This mod removes that lock, allowing any pawn to finish the job that was started by another.
It should be compatible with any mod that generates unfinished things (eg. Core Drill, etc).
As of 1.2 Oct 9th 2020 the Author of Rimworld of Magic added in a compatibility patch for this mod 🙂
All new features are opt-in and off by default. The base mod behavior is completely unchanged if you do not touch the settings.
Force finish before starting new
Pawns will look for existing unfinished work to complete before starting a brand new craft job.
Quality item exclusion
Shared authoring applies only to recipes that do not produce quality rated items. Art, apparel, and weapons stay locked to their original crafter.
Block unfinished items from stockpiles
Stockpile zones will refuse to accept unfinished items. Includes a bulk cleanup button to fix existing stockpile filters.
Finish It! compatibility
The Finish It gizmo on unfinished items will correctly find an eligible pawn and send them to complete the job.
Achtung! compatibility
Pawns that have been force assigned to work by Achtung will not be pulled away to finish unfinished items.
