Description:

Singapura II. **Updated to v0.8.1.13 for those playing on the test beta branch. Uranium has been added as a strategically placed resource (not just the update auto generation version) with tweaks to other resources for incorporation game balance. Navigable waterways with border access had already been incorporated in Singapura I.**

I have not updated Singapura I as some people may already be using it on the beta (and it created random uranium resources). No other changes to this version.

The map has been created for people who like to set themselves specific goals, and often play with personal rule restrictions. It can be used by players at all levels, but is not for the new player unless they really like a challenge.

The design includes
+ Carefully located and constrained resources to allow for a considered approach to complexity in start up location choice and development.
+ A limited placement of customs points. Medium size, with power. 2x Socialist (upper left and bottom left), 1x NATO (upper right).
+ An initial placement of road and rail connection bridges between the island and the mainland, so you can choose if you want a land link (or delete them).
+ Deepwater, partially navigable rivers and the straits.
+ A desire for a diffuse approach to settlement development, rather than a metropolitan or industrial megaplex.
+ A contour design to allow you to work with the terrain, rather than against it.
+ Keywords: HMC, challenge, hard, medium

The name for the map comes from the 14th Century name for a more modern Singapore on which it was initially based, and the shape is similar to the area in 1960 before major land reclamation. Considerable liberty has been made with many aspects to improve game playability and balance, and a more Asian approach to land features so we have more map varieties.

Screenshots (Malay – Bukit means hill, and Pulau means wooded isle.)
