Wood Elf Ammunition types
Wood Elf units get a selection of ammunition types.
They are selected by pressing on the ammo type icon around the porthole in battle
The ammunition types are:
Standard (Default)
Hagbane tips (poison)
Starfire shafts (flaming)
Swiftshiver shafts (double shot – uses whistling shot type) reduced range compared to other types
Haven’t seen the AI use them – however the original special ammunition units still use their special types as default in battle. (eg: Glade Guard (hagbane tips) unit will start with the poison ammunition type in battle)
One base game projectile type was changed – wh_dlc05_wef_swiftshiver_arrow used by Deepwood Scouts (Swiftshiver Shards). It was edited from small_arm_default to small_arm_whistling shot type.
Who gets what:
Glade Guard – all 4 types, default is standard
Glade Guard (Starfire Shafts) – all 4 types, default is flaming (and armour piercing)
Glade Guard (Hagbane Tips) – all 4 types, default is poison
Deepwood Scouts – all 4 types, default is standard
Deepwood Scouts (Swiftshiver Shards) – all 4 types, default is double shot
Waywatchers – poison, double shot, standard (default). No flaming as the standard game shot is armour piercing anyway
Hawk-Eyes of Drakira (Waywatchers) – as per waywatchers. Double shot also uses the discourage contact effect like their normal shot.
Glade Riders – all 4 types, default is standard
Glade Riders (Hagbane Tips) – all 4 types, default is poison
Hawk Riders – all 4 types, default is standard
Sisters of the Thorn – Poison (game default), double shot, flaming
Glade Lord & Waystalker Hero – standard (default) and multi shot (5 projectiles with bonus vs infantry)
Conflicts:
Icons may change if using other ammunition mods as we all share the limited amount of available shot types
