The two of you awake from you cryptosleep srcophagi to the sound of charge beams and warning signals. They have caught up to you.
Back on your home urbworld, a planet filled with humanity and pollution, much of the population live in slums. Death and hunger is all there is to see, the only way to survive is to kill for your food. The oppresive military have locked you up for your acts.
Sentenced to live behind bars and forced labour, you knew you had to get out.
You and another inmate smuggled enough scrap to build a pair of srcophagi, as well as a bit of… contraband. These will get you out, but without a persona core, your going in blind. Just hope you land somewhere habitable.
Some time later, you land on this unkown rimworld. At least the fleet have left you for dead. This planets inhabitants saw the fleet, so they are weary of you and what you have done.
