New City – Shinobi Hideout
Ever wondered why the Shinobi Thieves have never had a city of their own?
High in the mountains above Blister Hill, a secret village can be found, home to the Shinobi Thieves, and their leader, Brutus, brother of Arc in Mongrel, and a master thief to boot.
The Shinobi Hideout is the hub for all thieves to rest up, buy and sell stock, and prepare for their journey into the unknown, to steal all they can steal.

This is my first mod in Kenshi, so there will no doubt be things I’ve missed. By all means, tell me if I’ve missed something or if there are any errors, just be gentle! Open to feedback as well, so feel free to tell me what you think/suggestions etc.
This mod may or may not be lore friendly, depending on your stance about the leadership of the Shinobi Thieves.
You’ll probably want to download the Holy Beep Statue, as that makes an appearance in the village.
This mod primarily adds a village hidden in the mountains above Blister Hill, overlooking the slave farm Rebirth. I’ve included a variety of different shops, including a weapons shop, armour shop, adventurer shop, boot shop, a few bars, and more.
The majority of the shops are run by new characters called Thief Shopkeepers. They…basically act the same as normal shopkeepers, but they look like Thieves! So there’s that.
Along with the village, there are a few new characters placed around the world of Kenshi.
I’ve put their names, stories and locations in spoilers below so that you can find them for yourself if you so choose.
TO BE IMPLEMENTED:
– More customisation on the characters (more dialogue packages)
– Fixing balancing issues on some of the characters. They’re a…little overpowered, to say the least.
– Fixes on some parts of the Shinobi Hideout (nothing is game breaking as far as I’m aware)
– New characters because they’re fun to make
NEW CHARACTERS:
Khalid: The great bruiser. He once plundered Heft, and did a mass assassination of a Noble clan. He can be found in the Shinobi Hideout, and can be hired for 7,000.
Zill: A famed thief. He looks like a Fogman, which helps him get around unseen a lot of the time. Has a fairly high bounty, but his skills are of great use…if you can afford him at a whopping 30,000 cats.
Cassius: An Inquisitor in the Holy Nation’s military, located in High Inquisitor Seta’s throne room at Stack. Despite coming from a long line of Paladins, and being the first in his family to make Inquisitor, he’s been having some doubts about the Holy Nation. Maybe you can convince him to leave it all behind…
Kenji: A mysterious man who seems to know exactly who you are. It seems the wind has spoken to him, and told you exactly when you would arrive in Heft.
Grimsley and Fuschetti: Crossbow experts in the swamp town of Shark. A little bit coarse and rough around the edges, but they mean well, and will provide you a good shot if you need it.
The Mischief Brothers: Zimm and Zan, lovers of all things mischevous. These twin hivers can be found at the Smuggler’s Bar in Shem. They specialise in thievery, sneaking around, and messing with fools. At 3000 cats, they’re a surprisingly cheap duo. Just make sure you’re not on the receiving end of one of their tricks.
Crowface: A moody shut-in, found in the fog bound town of Mongrel. His standards are held high, and he will question your motives. You’ll have to be careful in your dialogue to be able to recruit this fellow.
Jericho: Powerful warrior, or wannabe Tinfist? You decide. Jericho the P4 Unit Skeleton is a bit of a showboat, as he yells his name and his tales of wonder across the bars of World’s End. Will he be worth the 8000 cat price tag?
Garret’s Slave: In the Slave town of Eyesocket, you can find a slave owner called Garret. His slave, though not a talkative fellow, may provide you with an extra sword…if you can only get him out of the town alive.
Espher: Yes, the very same Southern Hive Drone you can meet in Tengu’s Vault. He managed to escape from the Vault, and trudged his way across the desert to find the Shinobi Hideout, where he currently resides. If you lend an ear to his tale, he may consider joining your team.
