Description:
Note: If anyone wants to assist with turning these into an actual proper custom soldier class/type, that would be extremely cool, if you can help with this, please contact me!

"Commander, a group claiming to be ex-advent experiments have approached us, they claim to be the result of a project named ‘Tasoth’, and after searching some advent databases we found some data confirming their claims that there was indeed a project named as such. Whatever they are, they seem ready to strike back at Advent for what they did to them, perhaps they would be a boon for the resistance?"

Now for the real description:

Update 5:
Added an entry in the config files for an invisible head for skirmishers, this *needs* the star wars base heads pack, so please download that.
Update 4:
Now updated with warpaint from total war warhammer 2, set in the right and left arm tattoo slots, right for the head, and left for the body.
Update 3:
Now with a feathered headdress, powered and plated forearm options, and another leg decor option(pouchesssss). This one’ll be the last one for a while.
Update 2:
Now with a lot more leg options, another eye protection option, and another loincloth option, as well as one of the legacy plated armor options as a torso decoration.
Update 1:
Now with some more arm customization options, and two of the anarchy’s children tops, along with a leg option with skirmisher shins and a top using one of grimstyle’s reskins, now added in the required mods.
These are lizardmen models from Total War Warhammer 2 modified to work as soldier customization parts in XCOM 2, with lots of armor and accessory part(including a cool scarf from mgsv) kitbashed to work on top of them, they use every single customization slot.
Also note that they’re not supposed to be Warhammer Fantasy lizardmen in this context, but rather discarded advent experiments.
Note: if you’re looking for a good voice pack for these, use the GLA voice pack, Jarmen Kell’s voice in particular works quite well
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=627481794

Alternatively, this voice works well if you want them to actually sound like aliens, https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1484973770 ,
lots of hisses and roars and clicks, perfect for lizards.

Some notes on how to use the models:

As is visible from the first image, the cosmetic parts aren’t stored like on the traditional models, with the main parts on the torso, for the body and torso armor pieces, and the tail on the shins slot, because it wouldn’t be possible to give it physics otherwise. You’ll also want the star wars base heads mod for the invisible heads, since they also give the option to use a ton of different skin tones, to change the colour of the scales on the lizards.

Notes about the required mods:

Most of the required mods *are* just quality of life items, but if you want the lizardmen to work without a hitch you will need to use them, without the configure headshots mod the camera is so far in that it clips through the lizard’s face on the photos. Without the wear armor on the avenger mod you’d have invisible head dudes instead of the lizardmen, while the star wars heads include an invisible head you can use to not only hide the head of the soldiers that’d be poking out from the lizard, but also change the scale colours on the lizard itself. Add part names is nice just because it actually names the items in the customizer, so you don’t have to deal with legs #2915479 etc. Unrestricted customization is so all the parts can be selected on all tiers, but down the line I might update the mod so that’s not necessary.

And finally, enjoy!
