Order Nerf (Nerf other order factions when playing an order faction)
I was a bit tired of the power balance in this patch making it too easy to play an order faction due to how strong all my possible allies just naturally are, so I made this. This mod applies an upkeep penalty of 20% and a 20% nerf to their economy to all other order factions other than the player’s in order to make it more likely that the player will find it harder to run out of enemies belonging to "evil" factions to fight if he doesnt desire to fight other order factions like his. This doesnt modify factions that are near the player’s start and would’ve been his first enemies if the player so chose, so for example playing as Empire, it doesnt nerf any of the elector counts but it does nerf Wulfhart, or playing as Eataine, it doesnt nerf Avelorn but it does nerf Nagarythe and Loremasters.
This mod will NOT nerf any order factions if you arent playing as an order faction.
I chose to make it 20% so its not an obvious change that makes all order factions dead by turn 50, and some factions might overcome that debuff and still become major players or survive for a very long time, but it will be less likely that such a thing happens.
Factions that are considered Order and are affected by this mod (depending on which faction the player is using) are the following:
Bretonnia, Bordeleaux, Carcassone, Bastonne, Knights of Origo, Chevalliers de Lyonnaise
Dwarfs, Karak Azul, Clan Angrund, Karak Ziflin, Karak Kadrin, Kraka Drak, Zhufbar.
Empire, Marienburg, Averland, Wissenland, Middenland, Golden Order, Huntsmarshal Expedition.
Avelorn, Eataine, Nagarythe, Order of Loremasters.
Cult of Sotek, Spirits of the Jungle, Hexoatl, Itza, Last Defenders, Tlaxtlan, Sentinels of Xeti.
Border Princes, Estalia, Tilea, New World Colonies, Sudenburg, Kislev.
The decision on which factions to nerf is mostly dependant on the faction the player chose, mostly trying to avoid nerfing factions close to the player’s start that could be a target for early game expansion, for example playing as Bretonnia, neither Marienburg nor any of the other bretonnian factions are nerfed even if they are order factions too.
Should be SFO compatible although not tested on it.
Savegame and Mixu compatible (except Carroburg).
Only for Mortal Empires given theres not a lot of "order" races in vortex to balance around anyway.
For modders or anyone smart enough to figure it out, the nerf value can be edited to be larger or smaller depending on what the player prefers using RPFM, all that is needed is to edit the following number in that table: https://i.imgur.com/VYyHc7k.jpg
