March of the Ents – Vanilla Edition
Updated for The Twisted & The Twilight.
This adds a new unit to the Wood Elves roster, and changes an existing one, both aim to improve the Wood Elves’ siege ability whilst retaining balance.
Units:
(new unit) Winter’s Treeman – Brittle compared to it’s other seasonal cousins, this Treeman has lower armour and melee stats, however gains a ranged rock throw attack.
(old Treeman) Summer’s Treeman – Fuelled with the rage and energy of summer, this Treeman has weaker defences but stronger offensive abilities, and can attack walls directly.
Balance:
Winter’s Rock Throw – It’s based on the Cygor’s ranged attack, with a faster fire rate but lower damage so the overall dps remains the same. It also has increased ammo to make up for the faster fire rate. This ranged attack ends up being balanced with the Cygor’s. Destroying one section of wall will use up 2/5s of the ammo, and takes a pretty long time.
Starting from the same point, Summer’s Treemen will destroy walls much faster than Winter’s Treemen.
Price for both has gone from 1500 – 1600
Vanguard Deployment has been added to Summer’s Treeman to keep in line with CA’s changes, but not Winter’s Treeman as vanguard artillery seems like it would be OP.
Compatibility:
This mod doesn’t change the Treeman Ancient (Lord).
It should be compatible with anything that doesn’t change the Treeman unit.
This applies to the Wood Elves, and Averlorn as well.
Notes:
I’ve tried to get this out as soon as possible with this update, as that’s limited the time I can test it there may be issues depending on how much CA has changed things, however I’ll be testing it more thoroughly throughout the day, and if anyone notices any issues please let me know here and I’ll see what I can do to resolve them ASAP.
