Warbands – Warriors of Hydra
Ah the Hydra, such a majestic creature, you can’t look at it and not marvel at how adorable it is. If you ever thought the same then this is the mod for you, as so did the warriors that encountered an Hydra and felt the need to band togheter and make a Warband dedicated to the majestic beasts instead of the lame Chaos gods.
Now traveling the world they offer their services as mercenaries to whoever can afford them and the Hydras that fight by their side.
With this mod you will get access to a small selection of themed units if you ever want to mix something more exotic into the ranks of your go to faction. See pics for more.
Being a smaller scale mod there are fewer units to choose from, the Hydra Warriors come in 3 variant equal to Chaos Chosens. The basic Warriors are armed with axes and shields, Halberdiers will make quick work of cavalry and monsters while Berserkers are armed with greataxes and will do the heavy damage while frenzied in melee.
All of them are monster hunters as such they are all capable of fighting large monsters in varying degrees of efficiency.
And of course they bring their deadly Hydras with them to the fight! No step on snek.
Being mercenaries specializing in monster hunting, they are recruitable by a number of factions such as the Empire, Dwarfs, Vampire Counts, Dark Elves and even Chaos. They won’t be cheap however and they will never drop their fees for anyone (you won’t be able to reduce upkeep), but they will be readily available from any tier 3 barracks of the relevant factions that use them.
- The units will not be used by the AI as their are player only recruitable.
- They will not scale with any technology or lord skills, this is intentional. Only Chaos Warriors can improve them via Chosen related skills/techs.

- No taking of any assets in this mod unless you ask for permission, it’s kinda rude to take stuff without asking.
- I will not personnally make compability patches with other big overhaul mods, if you want to make your own patch feel free to contact me, i’m easy to reach.
- Translation mods are welcome just link and have the original mod as a requirement.
- The mod will work 100% of the time in vanilla, crashes when using other mods are not my responsability. I try to make the mod as compattible as possible but something can go wrong, if it crashes try launching the mod on it’s own first and then see what mods you could be using that conflict.
- Mod works fine with my other mods from the series.
