This is the first iteration of the RimWorlds of Ultima faction: Britannia based on the Ultima series by Richard Garriott aka Lord British. It is the start of what I hope to be a long line of themed mods.

As the early Ultimas ripped.. I mean borrowed heavily from Tolkien and other sources, so then will I. (Though hopefully not without permissions as appropriate). As such, Britannia is a unique medieval style faction harkening back to the days of old Sosaria when elves, dwarves and bobb.. err I mean hobbits lived among the race of men. (Ultima calls them bobbits but we all know they’re hobbits so I’m just going to call them hobbits for those unfamiliar with the Ultima series).

You may recognize the races from Jecrell’s LoTR mods. I’d like to thank Jecrell for including permission with those mods to use the content however we see fit.

Disclaimer: I do not by any means consider this a ‘finished’ mod by I reserve the right not to make promises as what is coming and when. That said, I have a lot of plans. 🙂

Known compatibility issues
==========================
Vanilla Hair Expanded – Dwarf beards are currently considered a body part to ensure every dwarf has one which is incompatible with the beards from VHE. You can either turn the VHE beards off or use their barber’s table to remove them if they happen to spawn on a dwarf.

Known Issues / Future Plans
===========================
Apparel is a little light. I’ve restricted the faction from spawning with modern or tribal apparel which doesn’t leave a lot. Vanilla Expanded Apparel and Armor mods are highly recommended. I do hope to add some more items at some point.

Horses and donkeys don’t seem to want to spawn with a caravan.

Guards don’t have a ranged weapon option yet.

It is possible to start a new game with hobbits, dwarves and elfs by using Prepare Carefully and selecting from a faction template. However, the templates are not labelled by race. I do plan on adding scenarios for each race. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be a good way to make a scenario with more than one race available at a time.
