Thick Roof Miner
When a thick roof collapses the roof is actually destroyed, but the collapsed rocks left behind are now much more durable and will take serious effort to remove.
In vanilla Rimworld, if a thick mountain roof collapses the roof doesn’t actually go anywhere. It just spawns in a collapsed rock wall in its place, but when that’s mined away the roof is still there. This mod makes it so a thick roof collapsing gets rid of the roof. The collapsed rock wall left behind now has 5000 maximum hit points, with the actual hit points determined by how deep it is inside the mountain. Closer to the outside = less hit points = quicker to mine.
- Tweakable Options: Collapsed rock max hit points and the depth search radius are configurable on the mod settings screen, as well as the percent chance that a collapsed rock will drop a chunk or resources when it is damaged through mining.
- Collapsed Rock Walls no longer support roofs.
- Collapsed Rock Walls have a maximum of 5000 hit points
- Collapsed Rock Walls have a chance to drop a resource every time they are damaged through mining. The exact drop rates can be changed in the mod configuration menu.
Thank you Dr. Zhivago for giving me the idea to make the difficulty of clearing a roof dependent on the depth in the mountain.
