I was really disappointed with the fact that settlements in TWWH2 continued to use the skin of their original faction after you conquored it. As someone who really enjoys building an empire that comprises of your races glorious architecture I could not stand for this!

So after a lot of fiddling I found that I couldn’t straight up replace the settlements skin when they’re conquered, but I could add your factions settlement on top of the existing settlement. So that’s what I did.

Ultimately I think I prefer it this way, since now it looks like your faction has built around the existing city.

FEATURES
Adds your factions architecture over the top of settlements you’ve conquored.
Will change depending on the owning faction
Won’t overlay if you’ve conquered a settlement of the same culture
Should work in both Mortal Empires and Vortex Campaign!
Should be compatible with any mod
Save game compatible!

I’ve chosen all the settlement skins based on their appropriateness, but most of them were chosen to avoid engulfing the settlements or being mistaken for larger settlements. PLEASE NOTE
This doesn’t change the map used for the settlement battles, this only changes the skin on the campaign map.

BUGS/THINGS I COULDN’T GET TO WORK

Some cultures settlement meshes are just so big they engulf the smaller towns (if empire conquors Lizardmen cities), there’s no real way to fix this.
High elf settlements are just really tiny, unfortunately their settlements get engulfed by most others, I do have a mod to fix that.
So one major thing I can fix is that it’s the original culture’s settlement mesh that will build up with upgrades, not your cultures.
This also may cause an additional performance hit as it’s rendering 2 settlement meshes, but shouldn’t be a noticable change.
