Description:
A simple sound mod that overhauls the firing effects of most primary small arms.

I was getting really sick of the inconsistent and often low quality or out of place sound design for the weapons, so I decided to take it upon myself to create this mod to improve the atmosphere and feel of firefights.

(It also includes a far more accurate Garand ping, but because of the way weapon veterancy works the sound may get pitch shifted for more experienced units, its ♥♥♥♥in weird.)

Weapon sounds are sourced from the following games:
Post Scriptum
Day of Infamy
Squad
Battlefield V
Wii Sports

This mod was created for RobZ Realism. I am unsure how it effects the vanilla game.
For best results install this mod AFTER installing other mods, that way the game prioritizes the sound files within this pack and they do not get overridden

The focus was on most of the main machine guns, SMGs, and rifles and subsequently does NOT include sounds for every single weapon. Some rarer weapons, cannons, and all Japanese small arms are not effected

I may make a cannon sound mod one day, but for now it’s a while off.

KNOWN COMPATABILITY ISSUES
Due to the way the game handles mod loading, mounting this sound pack after mounting any of Oldboy’s Battalion mods will break the ammo_satchel script and crashes the game while loading. 2 known workarounds are to either remove the ammo script or stick all the sounds from sound.pak into Oldboy’s files. You will also need to manually replace the Sten, Thompson, and Browning 1919 sounds as they’re under different filenames in Battalion

If a similar problem like this affects other mods, your go-to solution should be to stick the sounds from this into whatever other mod is having issues to avoid having to re-load mods and breaking scripts.
