Description:

What This Mod Does:

This changes the Death Night campaign effects so every tier has the max tier’s effectiveness. This effectively lets you ignore the Death Night mechanic while still reaping the full benefits. Hellebron will always be in her strongest state with this active.

Why:

Because I wanted to see if I could do it. I originally wanted to just increase the number of turns for each stage of Death Night to reduce some of the urgency for capturing and killing slaves, but that’s easier said than done. I find the mechanic novel, but it tends to get old rather quickly.

Issues:

Currently the mouseover for the effect shows that Hellebron will enter the battle winded or very tired when in the bottom two tiers of Death Night. This is NOT the case, the tooltip is wrong. She will enter every battle fresh unless she was in a stance like March or raiding. Also the game will list a +0% bonus to your tax rate in the bottom two tiers. This was neccessary to counteract the normal tax malus of those two tiers.

Save game compatible in my tests.

Compatibility:

Should work with most other mods as long as they don’t overwrite the effect_bundles_to_effects_junctions_tables.

Future plans:
The current workaround is rather crude, so I’m going to try and figure out how to make it so the Death Night gauge will simply loop back to being full instead of dropping down a tier after a few turns. This will also resolve the tooltip issue.
