Original description:
Although a huge amount of knights and commanders(even kings themselves) were captured during ruthless, close combat battles of Medieval Age, it wasn’t accurately reflected in the original game. Even when there were battles 10000 vs. 100 enemy commanders managed to escape somehow. And chance to be captured was so small that you didn’t have to worry about imprisonment at all.

Thanks to all the tools provided by the new game there has been a number of changes: Army commanders, the most protected people on the battlefield, now have a base 70% chance to escape unharmed and 30% chance to be captured (original numbers are 90% and 10%). Champions, who lead the troops into the heat of battle, have 30% chance to escape the battle, 60% chance to be imprisoned and 10% to be killed in action (original numbers are 85%, 10%, 5%). However, since the game now recognizes the "wipe" happening, after a succesfull army wipe ALL commanders and champions have 99% (basically a 100%, chances to escape are astronomically low) chance to be captured.

All other modifiers (prowess, traits and wounds) are left unchanged.

UPDATED – now you can take captives even when not at war. Both while raiding and defending against raiders battles will yield prisoners. In vanilla you can’t take any prisoners if not at war.

Report any mistakes you find, didn’t have time for extensive testing, busy adapting other mods.
