Reduced Battle Injuries and Death
If you’re frustrated at losing a bunch of knights when your army of elite minions is attacking a small band of peasant rebels, this is the mod for you. This mini-mod reduces the chances that knights will die, get maimed, or wounded in battle. The likelihood of dying is now also much lower than getting maimed (previously the two were fairly similar in how likely to happen, oddly), and the chances of getting wounded have been lowered only slightly so it’s still a decent risk.
I made this mod for myself as there are a couple other mods that also edit these values such as the one that makes it near impossible for high prowess knights to die, or the one that increases capture chance significantly, but I wanted something close to the spirit of vanilla. So do keep in mind just like in vanilla, knights are NOT prevented from getting injuries or dying – it’s just that the chances of it are lower, especially in the case of death, so don’t be surprised if it still happens on occasion, particularly wounds.
I may need to tweak the values in the future depending on how things turn out.
This mod affects one file, knight_events.txt in the events code, so is incompatible with any mod that touches the same.
