Greater Peasant Pacification – No More Cycle Revolts
Make Pacification Meaningful!
Greater Peasant Pacification increases the county opinion modifier "Locals Pacified" awarded on defeating a peasant revolt to +60 (up from +20), and increases its duration to 20 years (up from 10 years).
Just defeated a peasant uprising only for it to reform and launch again within months? Conquered a foreign realm with a different religion and culture to you and having them revolt over and over again without pause in an endless cycle despite defeating them time after time? Here is your fix.
The reason is the vanilla bonus applied for winning a peasant war and pacifying the populace is only +20 opinion, which is not enough to counter the ordinary base malus from false religion and different culture. Even after defeating and pacifying your peasants, they have a large negative opinion modifier against you, and will immediately reform their faction and relaunch their revolt, with the same endless number of troops as the peasant army you just defeated.
Greater Peasant Pacification make pacification and winning a peasant war meaningful by increasing the county opinion modifier awarded on defeating a peasant revolt or populist war up from +20 to +60, just enough to counter the different culture and the false religion at maximum fervour difference penalties of around -55, and increases the duration from 10 years, to 20 years.
Now peasant revolts and populist wars become a once in a generation event, instead of cycle launching immediately after the last one is defeated.
Help my crusade realm suffers an immediate peasant rebellion of its foreign culture and false religion subjects that wipe it out within its first years?
Greater Peasant Pacification only applies the "Locals Pacified" modifier after winning a peasant or populist war, and so will only kick in after defeating the first post-conquest peasant revolt, which often proves impossible for the AI and difficult for the player. To fix this problem for crusade realms use the Fervour Inversion mod that applies the"Locals Pacified" effect on winning a crusade and extends its duration to 40 years. This represents the deep pacification, profound change, and generational enthusiasm of a victorious great holy war and protects crusade realms during their infant stages.
Fervour Inversion – Winning Holy Wars Increases Fervour
– With Crusade Realm Early Stability Fix
Inverts how the game distributes fervour by rewarding victory and punishing defeat. Successful religions will remain unified and cohesive, while defeated faiths will be overcome by doubt and heterodoxy.
Pacification Speeds Conversion
Extends the benefits of pacification to religion and culture conversion as a defeated people look to new gods and masters. Chancellors and Court Chaplins now convert pacified counties with double their base skill. With the Fervour Inversion mod active this increases to triple their base skill post-crusade.
Less Sinful Priest Scandals – With Less Fervour Loss
Fixes the other major cause of fervour loss to large religions by increasing the cooldown timer and trait requirements needed to trigger the sinful priest scandal event. It will no longer overtrigger fervour loss merely because large religions have lots of priests.
Fervour Midpoint Rebalance – Fervor Tends Towards 50%
Fervour will tend towards a midpoint of 50%. Fervour will decay when above 50%, and will gain when below 50%. Gives fervour freedom of movement from starting and returning to a mid-point, will not get stuck at minimum or maximum and do nothing. Less fervour snowballing, less fervour collapse, less implausible stickiness at 100% fervour for small faiths, and less inexplicable stickiness at 25% for large faiths. Highly complimentary with Fervour Inversion mod and Less Sinful Priest Scandals.
Hagia Sophia & All Cathedrals Enabled For All Christians
Enables all Christians to use and build the Hagia Sophia, Cologne, and Canterbury Cathedrals, instead of the vanilla requirement that they must be a faith’s Holy Site. Hamstrung no more, your Catholic Latin Empire can now celebrate Mass in the Hagia Sophia, and your resurgent Orthodox Roman Empire can now build and use Northern Europe’s great holy buildings.
War Alerts – Customisable War Notifications
Set customisable notifications to alert you to wars declared by or against family, friends, lovers, house members, dynasts, vassals, neighbours, pinned characters, peasant revolts and more. Toggle alerts on and off by decision. Never again lose your landed heir to a peasant revolt you didn’t notice besieging his holding until it was too late.
