Ever find it odd that so few people out in the Rim have figured out even the simplest of prosthetics? Ever think pirates and raiders would try to enhance their army just like you? Ever ponder why your colonists never start with so much as an artificial heart from their life before crashing landing?

So did we! Now, almost every pawn from every faction on your Rimworld has an increased chance of spawning with a tech-level appropriate prosthetic limb, implant, or bionic body part, ranging from peg legs to power claws.

No longer does your colony hold the monopoly on bionics!


Almost every single pawn across every faction and scenario in Vanilla, Playable Outlander Settlers, and Vanilla Factions Expanded – Insectoids, Medieval, Settlers, and Vikings has received an increased chance to spawn with artificial body parts. Pawns are still limited to one part.

Some of these changes are buffs, others are nerfs, all are made in the spirit of variety.

Vanilla
  • Colonist pawns from Crashlanded, Rich Explorer, and Naked Brutality scenarios have a 16% chance of spawning with anything from a simple prosthetic up to advanced bionics from mods like Rah’s and EPOE/EPOE (Forked), up from 3%, as well as having no chance of spawning with poor prosthetics like peg legs.
  • Tribal scenario pawns have a 5% chance of spawning with poor prosthetics, up from 2%.
  • Almost every type of faction/enemy pawn has received at least a 5% increase to their chance of spawning with a tech-appropriate prosthetic.
  • Elite Pirates now have a 10% chance, up from 4%, and can now spawn with bionic limbs. Guess all that raiding finally paid off.
  • Space Refugees now have a 15% chance, up from 8%, and can now crashland with bionics.
  • Slaves now have an 8% chance, up from 3%, and can spawn with simple prosthetics.
  • Stranger in Black now has a 15% chance of spawning a bionic part, up from 0%.

  • Settler scenario pawns now have a 15% chance, up from 3%, of spawning with poor or simple prosthetics.

  • Mercenaries scenario pawns now have a 22% chance, up from 15%, of spawning with bionics.

  • Renegade Lord scenario pawns now have a 12% chance, up from 2%, of spawning with poor prosthetics.
  • Merchants, Squires, Bowmen, and Footsoldiers all received a 6% chance of spawning with a poor prosthetic up from 0%.

  • Bandits scenario pawns have a 14% chance, up from 6%, and can now spawn with simple prosthetics.
  • Bandits and Outlaws receive an 8% chance of spawning with poor prosthetics, up from 0%.
  • Bounty Hunters received a 12% chance of spawning with poor or simple prosthetics, up from 0%.
  • Gunslingers received a 10% chance of having poor prosthetics, up from 0%.
  • Bandit Leaders now have a 20% chance, up from 15%, of spawning with simple or bionic body parts.

  • Restless Raid scenario pawns now have a 12% chance, up from 2%, of spawning with poor prosthetics.
  • Slaves now have a 10% chance, up from 3%, of spawning with poor prosthetics.
  • Viking Hero’s now have a 22%, up from 15%, of spawning with bionics or bionic weapons.
  • Viking Legend’s now have a 24% chance of spawning with bionics or bionic weapons.
