Deadly Chaos Invasion – Script Fixed – Mortal Empires Only
***This mod completely fixes the broken script functions that cause exclusive player targeting. The Chaos Invasion now works as intended, but has been further modified to make it challenging and difficult. See below***

This mod is designed for mods with it lower upkeep. Other mods should work like Glory Mod, just keep in mind the higher upkeep of those mods will make the difficulty of this mod even greater.
Fixes and Changes

– The aggressive_destroyer_anti_player_task_generator_profile has been changed. This caused the AI to selectively target the player exclusively and ignore other factions. Fixed.
– The Imperium Level that caused an early mid game Chaos invasion has been increased from 6 to 7. This will delay the invasion until the player reaches that threshold.
– If the Imperium level isn’t reached, the invasion has been moved up from turns 150 and 200 (default) to 120 and 150 for the mid and late game event.
– The minimum number of Chaos armies required for a wave to trigger has been moved from 2 remaining to 3 remaining for the mid game event and late game is left default at 4 to make it more likely a new wave will appear. Sometimes there’s one or two Lords off skulking around holding up the next wave.
– The number of invasion waves have been changed to 2 across the board regardless of difficulty.
– The number of Chaos Lords/Armies that will spawn in any given location have been greatly expanded to around 3-4 times their default numbers based on very hard difficulty, regardless of the actual difficulty being used. This truly is the apocalpse.
– The Chaos subfactions will now declare war on those in their area instead of just focusing on the player. Now you’ll see Chaos armies spread out and attack everyone. As you can see in the picture above, half the Chaos invasion is heading for the Dark Elves, and the other half going for the High Elves.
– To enahance the above effect, the invasion spawn locations have been tweaked to provide more equality in terms of how the AI splits up their forces and attacks those around them. Some cutscene camera locations have been edited to match.
– The Servants of Chaos will spawn north of Ulthuan and will declare war on every single minor and major high elf and dark elf faction except Teclis. Around half of these armies will move toward the High Elves, the other half will move toward the Dark Elves.
– The Puppets of Chaos will spawn southeast of Lustria and will declare war on every single Lizardmen faction on Lustria, as well as the Order of Loremasters and the Vampire Coast. They will not declare war on any Skaven faction. This of course doesn’t stop them from declaring war against them later if they want or vice versa.
– The Vessels of Chaos will spawn in the Southlands Desert and will declare war on all Bretonnian crusader states, the Greybeard Prospectors, all desert Vampire kingdoms, Karak Zorn, and all Lizardmen in the southlands. They will not declare war on Queek.
– Who declares war on Bretonnia? No one. They are in the middle of the Invasion. Depending on who they ally with will bring the fight to their shores soon enough.
– All chaos factions now spawn with a more varied roster making use of more units available for the Warriors of Chaos and the Warherd of Chaos. The early waves will focus on lower tier units which will be less populated armies and the later waves will bring more higher tier units with full armies.
– As long as the invasion hasn’t triggered, it’s save game compatible as far as I have tested.

Obviously campaign balance will be changed as the Chaos Horde will be nearly numberless. This will change your game in the sense that you will no longer be able to let some other faction ‘deal’ with the Chaos invasion. If you don’t help stop it, you’ll die. Your fun may vary.

COMPATIBILITY

This mod is designed to work as a standalone mod that changes the Chaos Invasion script in Mortal Empires campaign. It will probably not work with any other mod that does the same. It was designed and tested to work with the Radious mod due to economy. But both SFO and Radious use their own scripts and sometimes buggy things can happen. I dont recommend using it with SFO because of reports of lock ups, but in Radious the second wave is bugged and you get far less armies than you should. I’ll post a fix in the comment section.
