Description:

-WHAT IS X.C.O.M-

Xtra Class Outside Mods is a series of mods I plan to release for both vanilla and WOTC XCOM2 and consist of soldier classes for the player to use. They will use no external assets apart from a simple class logo to ensure maximum compatibility with the base game files and those of other mods as well. The aim of the series is to add classes within XCOM 2 to give players variety within a very confined system, the soldiers will feel the same and use the same weapons and abilities however there will be more variation to said soldiers. Melee Snipers, Assault Medics, Grenadiers with Gremlins and more to give the game more vanilla flavouring. Each new class will have their own name, nicknames, progression speed, fluffy lore, short comings which need to be compensated and many roles to play on the field of battle. No ‘One man/woman/alien’ army soldiers. That wouldn’t be XCOM now would it?

-THE SCAVENGER-

Not wanting to live in the restored cities under the brutal regime of ADVENT but also not wanting to be subject to ADVENT attacks amongst the resistance camps, the Scavenger decided that getting by with as little disturbance as possible would be the best course of action. Such havens existed however they were the ‘Lost’ cities in which ADVENT barely ever strayed too far into because of the sentient husks that walked down it’s alleys and lay dormant in it’s buildings.

The Scavenger knew that if they would cause as little noise as possible, then they would be fine to roam and ‘scavenge’ amongst the ruins. However stealth only takes you so far so wielding a blade for protection gave them this, quiet and quite literal edge. Also without having the luxury of a radio with headphones to localise the noise, gave the Scavenger a lot of free time to practise their stealth and ability to wield their weapon proficiently.

Their outstanding early game abilities are tainted by several aspects however. For one, living amongst the ‘Lost’ made them detest the use of explosives, another pitfall is their absent experience with technology and lack of hacking knowledge making them only good for physical encounters and nothing more. Later down the line they will learn how to use their Bullpup rifle better but in the early game, they have very little ranged appeal. They excel in missions regarding the ‘Lost’ as they are stealth based, make very little noise and can cut down hordes of them in one turn.

Basically…this is an Assassin build if you ignore all the fluff.

-QUICK NOTE-

Given the time and hassle it took to set up the damn modding software, I have decided to use WOTC as my default output format and ONLY IF IN DEMAND, will I port a mod backwards to use in vanilla XCOM 2.

Also I have decided in making the icons see through as it looks better, UI wise.

-BUGS AND SUGGESTIONS-

If you manage to find any bugs or have a suggestion to improve my stuff, please do not hesitate to leave a comment, I enjoy reading through them 🙂
