Wounded Leaders Matter
Another small mod but in my opinion, something that was needed. Picture this, you just wounded Throgrim Gudgebearer, the High King of the Dwarfs, the High King, and what happens? Well nothing really, everyone goes about as normal, another lord replaces him and that’s that until he returns.
What this mod does is add negative effects to a faction when the leader dies and removes itself when they return, every sub-faction receives the same effects, these being -2 PO, -5 morale and +5 agent action success chance (After an important figure dies, you’d bet agents would be on the lookout). Though every sub faction receives these same effects, every faction receives a unique set of effects depending on who the leader is, for example, the Blessed Dread receives -25% navy range and -5 melee attack, Clan Pestilens receives -12 Winds of Magic reserve and a chance of -2 loyalty per turn, etc.
I thought this would be thematic firstly and secondly, if you take out a leader, you should get some sort of incentive to keep chasing them down. I should say that this does not apply to Beastmen or Chaos and does apply to both the player and the AI.
This mod will largely be dependant on user feedback I reckon since balancing changes are usually best done when more people apply their knowledge, so feel free to offer a change that may or may not get tweaked into the mod.
