Description:

Hello there! Have you ever thought that the having official Sylvanian missile units was an incredibly cool idea, marred by the fact that you barely get to use/play with any of them due to the vanilla maximum caps? Then *this* is the mod for you!

Vanilla missile unit numbers:

  • Level 1 Von Carstein Bloodline: +1 Crossbowmen
  • Level 2 Von Carstein Bloodline: +1 Crossbowmen
  • Level 3 Von Carstein Bloodline: +1 Crossbowmen +1 Handgunners
  • Von Carstein Bloodline Lord Skill "Cattle Herder": +1 Crossbowmen
  • Final Total: Maximum 6 Crossbowmen and 1 Handgunners units

Modded missile unit numbers:

  • Level 1 Von Carstein Bloodline: +3 Crossbowmen
  • Level 2 Von Carstein Bloodline: +3 Crossbowmen
  • Level 3 Von Carstein Bloodline: +3 Crossbowmen +3 Handgunners
  • Von Carstein Bloodline Lord Skill "Cattle Herder": +3 Crossbowmen +1 Handgunners
  • Final Total: Maximum 18 Crossbowmen and 6 Handgunners units

This mod will also update various Bloodlines tooltips and the Von Carstein Bloodline Lord Skill "Cattle Herder" to denote *exactly* how many extra units you’re getting by investing in each one. (see the screencaps above for details)

To get the Bloodline ball rolling sooner, all Vampire Counts Legendary Lords now start with at least 1 Blood Kiss, including Kemmler and Ghorst. (even old fogey Necromancers need love too [¬º-°]¬)

Balance:

"Isn’t this a little overpowered?" From testing a full campaign, not really. Instead of making a loreful/flavorful set of units (but kind of utterly useless), this adds some much needed oomph to how Vampire Counts campaigns play, especially vs. the new and/or updated races. I believe it should also add some much needed variety to some of your early to late Vampire Counts stacks (i.e. instead of Wind of Death casters and infinite free upkeep skelemans)

Compatibility:

This modifies the main Vampire Counts Bloodlines script, so any other mods that modify it too will conflict. You will also need to start a new game as the additions/updates occur when purchasing a new Bloodline level or Skill Point allocated (Von Carstein stuff specifically). If you remove the mod during a game, you will still keep your recruited missile units, but it will only replenish the unit pool up to the old maximum caps.

Works with SFO! (put after/lower than SFO in mod load order)
