Legions of Warhammer – Dragon Princes [Obsolete]
What this mod do?
Simply put adds an entire "roster" to the High Elves army comprised of Dragon Princes. Why? Cause their models are so nice but you will barely see them, so now you can build an entire army of them.
The units try to mantain the whole Dragon Princes theme by having more or less the same stats as the vanilla Dragon Princes to reflect them being elite units.
Short Attribute Summary:
All units have: Martial Mastery; 70% Fire Resistance and 20% Physical Resistance.
Beasthunter units have Strider; 30% Missile Resistance; Immunity to Psychology and Charge Defense vs Large
Royal Guards are Unbreakable and have Charge Defense
Fireborn units have Immune to Fatigue; Encourage; Immunity to Psychology
Corsairs have Vanguard Deployment and Fire on the Move
Grey Knights have Rampage and Fear
These units have these attributes on top of the all units ones and some might have other non mentioned attributes like charge reflector ecc.
Units added are divided into categories that have different flavor to them.
Basic infantry units are comprised of: Spearmen, Swordsmen, Halberdiers, Swordmasters, Archers and Crossbows(Repeater Crossbows).
Cavalry units: Swordsmen, Spearmen, Chariot and Archer Chariot
These are the main line units of the army recruitable fairly early on if you are willing to invest in better units.
Royal Guards: Very good defensively and come in 2 variants Crossbows;Sword&Shield or Bow;Spear&Shield.
They are basically what the Lothern Sea Guard should’ve been according to lore.
Beasthunters: Very strong against large units, fast moving and suffer no terrain penalties as well as not fearing anything, cause duhhh they are monster hunters. 2 units of infantry: Battleaxes and Spear&Bow; 2 Cavalry units: Mounted Archers and Halberd Riders
Corsairs: Effective against infantry, can fire on the move and have Guerrilla Deployment. 3 units: Dual Swords; Sword&Handbow; Sword&Pistol;
If you think the mod wasn’t lore friendly till now you better stop reading or might have a heart attack at the next units…
Grey Knights: Dragon Princes mounted on armored Cold Ones (courtesy of the Corsair magpies borrowing from the Druchi). These units can cause fear, can Rampage and have decent armor piercing attacks. While they lack strong charges they can use formations to make up for it.
5 whole units: Grey Knights Swordsmen, Lancers and Crossbows, Halberd Chariot&Crossbow Chariot.
Fireborn: The Elite of the whole set they are incredibly tought and skilled in melee (they beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of Chosen most of the time). They can inspire nearby troops and as your favorite random Prince says: "I Never Tire!", indeed they never get tired of winning. Immune to fear, terror and other mind ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of the lesser being cause what would they fear? Not unbreakable cause sometimes (especially when the battle is lost) they remember they left their ovens on, and being a Fireborn doesn’t make one’s house immune to fire. 2 Different units: Swordsmen and Halberdiers(with Shields).
Most of the base units are lead by one or sometimes TWO officers that stand out by being tougher and meaner than the troops they lead, essentially having different stats and making sure in most cases they stand with the last men in their regiment.
Units all scale with Dragon Princes tech and skills + relevant tech to their closest vanilla counterpart. Yes now go get that +12 Charge Bonus on your infantry units or stack that Armor/Defense and have a walking spearwall of High Elves ready to show why the are the masterrace.
