Apollo’s Ironsiders port
Great thanks to Apollo for his epic mod! Unfortunatly he wasn’t porting it for quite a long time so I desided to do do it myself.

Equipped with heavy pikes and heavy armor these Infantry men hold the line against the empire’s foes. Thier extensive training allows them to close ranks to withstand charges and decimate calvary.
Unit: Ironside Stormbringers
Equipped with repeater rifles these riflemen lay waste to the Empire’s foes.
Unit: (New) Ironside Siegebreakers
Elite shock infantry adept at storming fortifications. Donning heavy armor these stalwart soldiers know no fear.
Unit: (New) Ironside Veterans
Equipped with a repeater rifle and heavy armor these veteran riflemen hold the line against the empire’s foes. With reduced unit size and a high upkeep cost, what these units lack in numbers they make up in tactical utility and durability.

Ironside Captain
Weilding a matchlock pistol, the Ironside Captain leads from the front.
Ironside Sergeant
A veteran infantry man himself, the first sergeant of a Ironside company can often be found nursing his trusty pike.
Core Mechanics

Repeater Rifles
The unique nature of this weapon allows the Ironsides to fire off 6 shots in rapid succession, providing unmatched burst damage. However having expended all the ammunition in his weapon the Ironside veteran must reload leaving him vulnerable. Ironside veterans utilize a technique known as "slam fire" to dramatically increase their rate of fire.
Phase 1
Reduces reload time to 0 for 22 seconds (firing animation takes around 2 to 2.5 seconds)
Accuracy decreased by 35%
Phase 2
Range reduced to 0 for 7.5 seconds (Unit can not fire)
Unit can not move
Bracing decreased by 50%
(Note: I chose this method after expermenting with unit abilities, reducing the range of the unit was the best way to simulate the effects of reloading. Increasing reload time to say 9999 seconds would have the issue where this could carry over to the firing phase, which was undesirable…)
Phase 3
Ironside looses 6 Ammo
Loose Formation
Realizing the need for new tactics in the face of increasingly deadly artillery fire, ironside veterans have adopted the ability to assume a "looser" formation. While vulnerable to cavalry and infantry, this tactic allows the ironsides the ability to whether all but the fiercest fire.
