BRITA’s WEAPON PACK Distibution Override (to remove certain items)
This is the First ADD-ON distribution override that removes Post-1990’s firearms. We recommend that if you want to further tailor what spawns in the game, you do the following :
– Find the Brita’s_Distro01 folder in : [DirectoryYouInstalledSteam]/steamapps/workshop/content/108600/2414341426
– Copy the entire Brita’s_Distro01 folder to : C:/Users/User/Zomboid/mods…. This will be the local instance of the mod you can edit. At this point, to prevent having two instances of the mod, unsubscribe to the WorkShop version, and you will still be able to access your new local version from the game mod menu.
The Brita’s_Distro01 mod contains only (2) files… and you’ll be able to see which items have been removed by typing double dashes "–" in front of the line. If you want to re-enable an item, simply remove the "–". And if you want to remove an item, type "–" in front of the item.
The following are the (2) files :
– Brita’s_04Cases.lua – Determines what spawns inside numerous pre-defined weapon cases for all the categories of weapons… This allows us to control random weapons within these categories for spawn in certain areas, such as military, police, civilian, etc..
– Brita’s_05Distribution.lua – Distributes both individual weapons, and weapon cases in stores and roomtypes, and also defines Vanilla containers which have items added to their spawn.
So basically, you can change what is in the cases, and then change where and to what degree they spawn…
I’ve set the default frequency within each case to approximately 75 total distribution points and this seems to result in only a few empty cases here and there… If you set total points too low, you will find more empty cases… The contents of the weapon cases is also affected by the Sandbox Loot option, as are the contents of Ammo Canisters… So keep that in mind when editing or removing items…
