Description:

A fairly typical example of the Newton 41′ Dive Boat which sees widespread use in the charter SCUBA industry. If you enjoy exploring and diving in-game and ships like R/V Calypso are too slow and annoying for your purposes, this might be just the boat for you.

SPECS:
– Facilitates 8 Divers and can recharge SCUBA tanks.
– Generator for Power while at anchor
– Heading Hold Nav Pilot
– Radar
– Comes with AED and First Aid Equipment
– Fresh water showers

RANGE:
– 65KM at 18kts (Thottle set at 0.80)
– 35KM at 28kts (Full Throttle)

STARTING PROCEDURE:
(Reference the pictures above for the locations of certain switches and valves.)
– Open the Engine Compartment
– Open the ‘Seawater Intake Valve’ and observe water entering the ‘Seawater Strainer’
– Turn on the Air Compressor Breaker if needed
– Move to the Cuddy Cabin and Turn on the ‘Battery Isolator’
– At the Helm Turn on the ‘Accessory’ Key
– Ensure the Throttle is centered (between -0.10 and 0.10)
– Turn on the Ignition and Press the Starter until the engine starts
– Press ‘2’ to unlock the Throttle and the W/S keys to move it.

NOTES:
– The throttle behaves like a real boat throttle and will lock itself in neutral whenever it is returned to that position, and must be unlocked to move it to an advanced or retarded position.
– The instructions for use of the Nav Pilot heading hold system can be seen in the pictures above.
– To recharge SCUBA gear place the required gear in the receptacle on the port cabin aft wall and turn on the compressor. When the Air Flow drops to zero the SCUBA tank is full.
– Two SCUBA sets are hidden in the deck on the port and starboard aft most portion of the deck.
-The fresh water tank will be refilled when (and only when) the fuel tanks are being fueled.
-Be mindful that this is a pleasure craft and not intended for use in rough seas. That said, in testing I managed to ‘hang on’ in sea-states of 80% in shallow water, and 30-40% in deep water.
– The ‘High Water’ Alarm will turn on if 10% or more of the hull is filled with water. Turning on the Bilge Pump should help to drain or combat any leaks in the hull.

Fun Fact: In Greek mythology Celaeno was one of the Pleiades. She was also a younger sister to Calypso…see the connection? ;D

I could not have made this boat without out the fine work done by these creators. In most cases I modified their work to suit my purposes so don’t be mad at them if it doesn’t work.
