Cleaner Karlings
This mod makes two changes to the 769 start date.
First, it changes the de jure borders to match the de facto line between Charlemagne’s realm and Carloman’s realm. This tends to prevent the region from devolving into hotspot of border gore.
Second, it makes each ruler hold the three kingdoms they control:
* Charlemagne holds Aquitane, West Francia, and Frisia
* Carloman holds Middle Francia, East Francia, and Burgundy
This tends to result in a fair division among the grandsons of Pepin the Short, in line with his wishes.
However, each ruler is given strong claims on all of his brother’s kingdoms, so a single war[ck2.paradoxwikis.com] can still unite them. Any ruler who controls all six kingdom titles may redraw the borders, so that Aquitaine corresponds more closely with the Occitan region and Frisia with the Dutch region.
