This mod requires Legions of the Imperator and Heroes of Zama to reskin the Roman units to a high quality and period accurate appearance.

This mod is not compatible with my Caesar’s Battle mod, you can be subscribed to both, but you can only have one enabled at a time. Make sure to put this mod towards the bottom of your load order. It has a lot of built in compatibility with other mods, and needs to be overwritten by pretty much everything to benefit from this.

I highly recommend subscribing to Benjin’s AAA Romans and AAA Greeks because it will enhance the appearance of some of the characters in the mod. I also recommend subscribing to my Late Egyptians mod to improve the appearance of the Egyptian units in the mod.

Creative Assembly originally intended to include more historical battles, and using the unused assets from these battles, this mod introduces three entirely new historical battles: Mutina, Philippi, and Actium, three of Octavian’s most important battles leading to his rise to power.

The main purpose of this mod is to tell the story of Octavian’s early career, from being named Caesar’s heir and avenging his murder by vanquishing Brutus and the "Liberators" at Philippi, his rivalry with Mark Antony and Cleopatra, the death of the Republic and the birth of the Roman Empire. It also serves as a sequel to the Caesar’s Battles mod or Prequel to the Imperator Augustus campaign. Technically Actium takes place after the start of the Imperator Augustus campaign in September of 31BC, so I recommend playing it at the appropriate date if you are playing that campaign.

For the Octavian battles the recommended and historical order to play them is:

#1 Mutina
#2 Philippi
#3 Actium
