Generals On Foot
This mod was made because of an AI bug that got introduced in the Ancestral Update.
The Siege AI when attacking a unwalled settlement charges their general cavalry straight into your units, putting themselves on a great disadvantage.
To counter that, the AI and the player can now only recruit infantry generals.
This has the following effects:
– The Siege AI in unwalled settlements uses their general unit to support it’s army.
– Battles against the AI are now generally harder, because the AI uses Infantry units smarter and the player can’t abuse his general cav.
– Cav has more impact in the early game cause you don’t get a free one with every army. So now you have to recruit them and construct the necessary buildings.
For balance reasons, the nomad factions are exempt of this rule. Also generals with elephants.
The mod is savegame compatible but only works on newly recruited candidates.
