Description:

Inspired by Chaos Mods of other games I tried to make one for Isaac.

Features:
– A pool of 100 effects randomly chosen from every 30 seconds
– These effects may be good for you, bad for you or just something wacky
– The countdown and current active effects displayed on the HUD
– Customizable settings in the main.lua (instructions below)

UPDATE:
– 15 New effects bringing the total up to 100
– Check Change Notes for some more update info

I’m not going to list all the effects here because I like discovery and surprises 😉

Future Plans:
– Going to stick to 100 total effects seems like a good number to have
– Will fix any bugs that come along
– May update or possibly replace some existing effects to be more interesting

HUD
You can move the Chaos Mod part of the HUD around by using Shift + Arrow keys while in the game. It will reset to normal when the game is closed.

CUSTOM SETTINGS

To change the custom settings you must first find the mod folder which is in your Steam folder:

A quick way to find the Isaac folder is to find the game on your steam library and open its properties then ‘local files’ and click ‘browse’.

Open the Chaos Mod folder and then open main.lua with notepad or whatever fancier version you use.

You should see something like this but it could look a bit different depending on the program you use.

Follow the instructions in the file on how to customise stuff and restart the game if you make any changes.
Settings will reset whenever the mod updates so I apologise in advance.

You can alter settings here such as:
– Where the timer stuff is on the HUD
– How long the countdown timer is
– Change the volume of the 1up sound when you get an effect
– Switch off and on what effects you want to show up
– Change the duration of the effects

If something gets messed up cause of changing the settings then reinstall the mod to set everything back to default.
