Description:

Northumbrian Railway imported the MB810 rail bus in 1973 to replace the expensive locomotive hauled passanger service
on the northern transpennine route. More MB810s were ordered in 1975 in the new NRSkyBlue Livery, in 1984 the MB810 fleet were upgraded by
English Leyland to which point that they resembled the Pacer. after the success of the Tyneside Metro, NR created the Mersyside metro
Using MB810 pacers. In 2006 the origional MB810 were withdrawn or converted and in 2021, the Northumbrian Parliment’s Transport and Access Bill
Threatens the future of the MB810 pacer.
