Updated Finally! Adjusted the stats and redefined the roles of some units, updated all the card art I didn’t like, and fixed some glitches (All units will now fire!). Should be compatible with everything still. Same mod, with some cool little additions. And SFO support mod!

This mod adds 13 Units that work with Tilea, Estalia, and The Border Princes. This mod was made due to the lack of mid and high tier units available to TEB, and really just made for fun. The units work in campaign as well as custom/multiplayer battles. The units are:

  • Southern Men

    Mid tier infantry that comes in spearmen, swordsmen, and halberd variants. More armored than swordsmen, but still fodder.

  • Marians

    A high tier spearmen unit with high defense. Marians’ get the ‘Pike Push’ ability that Pikemen have.

  • Wardens

    Very heavy late game infantry. Comes in swordsmen, spearmen, great weapons, and halberd variants.

  • Handblasters

    Mid game Handgunners with shotguns instead of traditional rifles. This unit has a very low count, range, and ammunition. However, even one volley is enough to route an entire unit if placed correctly. Use this unit with care, as their shots are devastating. They can also fire at an arc from the air, but the side effect is much worse penetration.

  • Bulwark Bolters

    Late game crossbow unit. Excels at skirmishes against other ranged units. A shield and decent armor provides a good way to deal with the enemy in skirmishes.

  • Uhlans

    Mid tier shock cavalry. Basically Reiksguard, but a bit less tanky. Uhlans can also form a cavalry wedge.

  • Cuirassiers

    Heavy high tier shock cavalry. Low unit count, but very high model health. Basically Demigryphs but a bit weaker.

  • Artillery Line

    A unit of slightly weaker great cannons. Instead of coming with 4 cannons, comes with 6. Late game.

  • Heaven Hammer

    Late game mortar with magical damage and unique ranged attack. Lowers all infantry hit. The projectile is very slow and rather inaccurate, so it is best used on stationary enemies such as those fighting another unit.

While most content is not explicitly mentioned in any lore, there should be little to no contradictions to why these units could exist. So it may not be from the lore, but I would definitely say it is friendly to the lore.

Compatibility & Patches

This mod should be compatible with all other mods. Of course, that’s in theory. If you do happen to find a mod that changes this one or uses the same unit ids, please report it in the comments.

Requirements

This mod requires Cataph’s Southern Realms mod for shield textures and campaign implementation.

Balancing & Bugs

If you find any bugs please report them in the comments. I haven’t had too much time to test it myself, so I am sure there are a few small glitches in there.

Also, please report balance of the units. Using information from Micheal, I have tried to balance the mod as best as possible. However, some of the units might be to strong or weak for the price, so please report anything interesting you notice about a units performance.
