Description:

The T3m2my entered the Northumbrian Railways fleet in 1960 as a heavy shunter, the T3m2my was the first NR locomovtive to have the distinct
‘Yellow front’ as part of its livery from 1961 onward all NR trains would have a yellow front or yellow panel to increace visibiliy.
As NR begun to phase out steam, the T3m2my pulled both freight and passanger consists. in 1970 it was relegated to a freight only
before being phased out in 1980, The T3m2my fleet was not repainted in NR’s 1975 rebrand keeping creating the association with NRRed with
freight and NRBlue with passanger trains.
