Accurate Character Select – Tainted Names
For the time being I am not updating this mod. This means it is currently a version behind compared to the other branches of Accurate Character Select, but it’s still mostly the same. It’s too cumbersome for me to update this version since it involves updating 51 charactermenualt.anm2 entries every update. Sorry!
Adds the four missing stats to the character select for all characters, adds missing items, fixes spelling errors, and makes stat tallies much more consistent and accurate to the character’s actual stats. This version includes eyeguy’s Character Portraits and three different "Tainted Names" mods. By default WampXs version is selected. Instructions on how to change this are as follows:
1. Go to C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonThe Binding of Isaac Rebirthmodsaccurate character select tainted names_2517039714resourcesgfxuimain menu
2. Rename "charactermenualt.png" and "charactermenualt.anm2" to "charactermenualt.[file extension] – Original" (any name works this is just a recommendation).
3. If you want the tainted names mod by Vitamin C then rename "charactermenualt – Alt Style.[file extension]" to "charactermenualt.[file extension]". The same applies if you want the tainted names mod by TurboFisto— just delete the "- Both Names" and it should work.
That should be it! But if you messed something up, just delete everything in the folder except for "Backup" and "extrastats.png", go into the "Backup" folder, copy everything, and paste it where you deleted everything
– Adds a note to the "Who Am I?" screen that displays tallies for Tears, Shot Speed, Range, and Luck stats for each character, and their starting pickups (pennies, bombs, keys, etc.).
– That weird item box thingy now contains a letter to indicate if a starting item is one of four things: P = Passive, A = Active, T = Trinket, O = Pill/Card.
– Bloody Lust and Lucky Foot are no longer missing their y’s.
– Character’s displayed stats now better reflect their in-game stats.
– Tainted Characters feature more lines to better hint at their perks and downsides.
