Sikorsky H-19 / S-55
Another helicopter in my library of the extreme realistic models, took more than 400 hours of development, study of drawings and customization.
This is the Sikorsky H-19B serial number 55-845, registration number 53-4458, built in 1955, from February 25, 1955 on duty in the US Air Force, until 1980. Since 1985, exhibited at the Deutsches Museum, in Munich, Germany.
Equipped with a 700 hp Wright R-1300-3 engine.
Parameters in the game:
Maximum speed – 97 knots (50 with maximum load)
Cruise speed – 79 knots
Flight range – 220 km
Ceiling – 4500 m
Rate of climb – 4.8 m / s
Payload – 1100 kg
1100 lbs fuel reserve
WHAT IS REALISTIC
1. A complete set of systems – including, but not limited to: simulation of engine behavior, transmission, oil systems, icing and anti-icing.
2. Design of the cockpit and the helicopter itself.
3. Scale and parameters. Maximum speed, fuel supply, load capacity – everything corresponds to the real, except for the flight distance. No one is interested flying helicopter, which does not need to be refueled at all.
4. Startup procedure.
5. Failure simulation system – any of the systems, up to each individual device, may fail.
6. The engine and helicopter separate wear system. Oil onsumption and change.
7. Management and behavior in flight, as far as possible in this game.
8. The internal structure and arrangement.
9. Canister with oil!
Have fun. A documentary video with the launch procedure included.
This model is pretty close to a real helicopter, so I do not recommend flying without studying the complete instructions (if you are not a fan of understanding everything yourself and reading the instructions only after everything has already broken, but then do not come to me with questions).
