EMD SW-1500 Switcher Locomotive:
Designed for shunting train cars in order to create much larger trains, The EMD SW-1500 is a moderate-sized switcher locomotive designed for both rail yard use and even lightweight, short, jobs on the main tracks. With a compact design, 1500 horsepower, and a small fuel tank, they tend to stay around the rail yards. They are an aging class of locomotives and are being slowly phased out of the Class-1 railroads. Their utility is undeniable in rail yards and short distances where it is more economic to send a smaller engine than a special duty locomotive. There are not a whole lot of switchers being made, but finding a used one in good condition is not a hard task. You can pick you one up for around the price of 150,00 USD. If that is a bit too much, you can always play with this one in Stormworks.
In-game specs:
this locomotive can reach a top speed of 128 MPH and carry a decent amount of weight. It is powered by one large motor and a single large diesel engine. It carries around 5K liters of fuel. It has two entrances, one front and one back.
The slave system is compatible with all of my preceding models. As always, the train is a 1/1 scale model.
