The H.B. Royale is a personal symbol to revive the look of old ocean liners, while still accustoming some of the more modern necessities! Built in 2022 with collaboration by the Cunard Line, the Royale is meant to resemble that of White Star Line era liners, especially that of the Olympic Class. At the same time, the captain of the Royale, yours truly, also considers this his own humble abode, located just behind the bridge.

Containing 3 decks of living quarters, and 10 watertight compartments, it may take more than expected to sink this baby!

… Or does it?

——————————-

This is my first creation. Currently a WIP, there are still things I wish to work on. Here, I’ll give a list of what works:

– Watertight Doors open and close via a button on the starboard side of the bridge.

– Turning on the fuel pumps is required to start the engine.

– A series of stabilizers and gyro stabilizers are used to keep the ship level.

– IIRC, all rooms onboard the ship are properly lit. However, you must turn them on manually. My PC does not handle too many lights very well.

– [CAPSIZE] There is a button to deactivate the stabilizers, which will cause the ship to capsize to about a 50 degree list.

– [SCUTTLE] There is a scuttle button to sink the ship. However, it may take a long time. Opening all watertight doors is effective.

What doesn’t work:

– There are a series of pumps at the bow designed to suck in flood waters and expel them back into the ocean. However, they don’t seem to work. I’ll be working on this.

– Having even one lifeboat attached to connectors will make the ship too heavy on one side, causing it to capsize. I’m attempting to fix this.

– Though the ship can potentially flood above compartment #1, it seems to stop after a certain point, making the scuttle button with closed compartments ineffective. I’m working to make the flooding a little bit easier without making it too obvious.

– The ship does not do well in waves over 50%. I have tried a few methods, but have turned up no successes so far. But I’ll keep trying!

What sort of works:

– Engines work just fine and ship sails, but it moves incredibly slow. Gears are currently 1:-1. I’m still learning how mechanics in this game work, so I would love to know how I can make this ship go faster!

If there is anything I might have left out, let me know! Criticism is welcome! It will better help me perfect this ship and future designs!
