Description:

I’m forever tweaking Anbennar in my free time so I thought I’d share some of what I’ve done. If you wish to use anything in your own mod go for it. I enjoy playing with Idea Group mods but some do too much, plus it was getting tiring merging some of my favourites into Anbennar.

Serpentspine Doctrine
Inspired by the Dwarves holding out against the Greentide, reduced shock damage, reduced fire damage, an alternative to defensive ideas.

Artificery Doctrine
Inspired by the artificer races, focusing purely on fire damage but as you obtain these late game buffs your unit cost goes up.

Legionary Doctrine
Inspired by the Phoenix Empire at its peak, it’s military bonuses are quite plain but has liberty desire reduction so you can work your way into Rahen with vassals.

Magocratic Education
I didn’t want to make mages be an overpowered military idea set, they have spells for that. This is an opportunity to send away members of your court to do some learning, improve your mana generation, get a longer lifespan, an increased chance of becoming a mage, all in exchange for terrible maluses until you finish the idea set.

Marauder Ideas
Not quite horde ideas, a little more economy focused. Good for burning things down but people will like you less. Hordes can already get similar bonuses so this is aimed at Orcs, Gerudians, etc. Added so you can roleplay being a little barbaric.

Imperial Ideas
100% focused on the Empire of Anbennar, longer lasting claims, more legitimate heirs, imperial authority bonuses. The final reward is a flat increase to imperial authority gain. Useful for recovering after the League War.

Industrial Ideas
Inspired by the fast industrialisation of Goblin societies, you can work up to a global increased goods modifier with small building cost bonuses along the way.

Infrastructure Ideas
Inspired by the Canals of Bulwar and the famous Golden Highway of the Phoenix Empire, not quite trade, not quite economic, it’s all about movement and supply with a development cost reduction as the final bonus.

Racial Supremacy Ideas
Inspired by Aelnar, this is the Absolutism Idea Group, it also lowers your number of accepted cultures and makes it more expensive to accept any. They get a morale bonus in exchange for being bad at drilling. Added so you can roleplay a horrible society with similar maluses to Aelnar.

What I didn’t do
Some have policies, some don’t. It’s really boring work adding a variation for each idea group and I’m doing this so I can have fun playing Anbennar. I wanted to add events but for more compatibility I decided against it, adding them to the 5 year pulse would mean updating more often.

Should work on all versions of Anbennar, including BitBucket provided it is named Anbennar-PublicFork.
