Sawyer Cruises Riviera Dream

Step into luxury as you board the Riviera Dream, boarding to the midship reception area you are greeted by a large glass dome letting in all the natural light you could need. Towards the bow you can enter the either the restaurant on deck 2 or go up to deck 1 to spend some time in the comfortable lounge, ahead of the lounge you will find the al fresco buffet. Heading aft from the restaurant you will find an elevator accessing all internal levels on the ship. Heading further aft you will access the cabins, with over 40 double cabins the ship has capacity for around 90 passengers. When in port you can choose between a once in a lifetime excursion ashore or you can spend an afternoon onboard in either the lounge, the arcade, the internet cafe or if you choose, you can spend the day on deck sunbathing or reading a good book.

The ship is based of Viking River Cruises, Longship Fleet and is built to roughly 3:2 scale of the Viking Gefjon. The ship is very simple to operate, to start the generators make your way to the bridge to the right of the helm you will find starters and a throttle leaver to control generators. Detailed info and engine stats can be found in the engine room at the back of the ship, The electric propulsion is controlled from the helm seat, there are four azimuth pods at the back of the ship, the central two being on as standard with the option of powering the outer ones once under way to achieve a higher speed. The ship also has 2 bow and a stern thruster to help when manoeuvring along a wharf.
