Designed as part of the next generation of heavy bombers following the introduction of jet engines in military aircraft, the Bellerophon quickly made a name for itself as a capable platform for the ‘Red steel’ cruise missile, as well as performing daring low level attacks utilising dumb bombs

To start
Head into the cockpit
Turn on the avionics breaker
At the flight engineer station, turn on all fuel pumps
Push each starter until the jet has engaged, then move on
Notes
She’s a big girl so don’t expect to be pulling aerobatics in her
The ‘dumb bombs’ are most effective at low altitude and fall roughly in line with bombardiers window
In the event of ditching, the nose is likely to sink first so make your way to the aft escape door in the crew rest area
