RMS Ferric 1938
It is now 1938 and Marren line have not put a new ship into service for 15 years as the great depression halted all shipbuilding in Britain. RMS Ferric enters service and is the first ship in the company’s new generation of liners, the super-liner era. She is sleek and luxurious and has one of the most impressive dining rooms at sea. She would have a successful career until 5 months later when the war starts. She would be tied up in New York until 3 months later when she was converted into a troop carrier and entered service in 1939 but then she would be struck by a torpedo in 1943 and sink in just 32 minutes.
