Soundsets: EMD 645E3 Turbo (F40PH, SD40-2, MP36PH, SDP40F, DDA40X)
This mod provides 645E3 (turbocharged) engine sounds for most applicable locomotives on the Steam Workshop. The engine notches smoothly and a variety of horns and bells are included to be accurate to each railroad.
Mod list:
EMD DDA40X – audio update
EMD F40PH – audio update (engine is supposed to be at max RPM for HEP)
EMD SD40-2 – required mod
EMD SDP40F – required mod
MPI MP36PH – audio, stats & name updates for the Caltrain, MARC, & Metrolink units (they’re MP36’s in reality, not MP40’s)
EMD SD40-2F – required mod
Logyn’s vanilla SD40-2 repaints
Repaints of the above mods are also affected.
There is planned support for Logyn’s GP40X and F45.
-Most locomotives will blast the horn once or twice while leaving a station
-Does not affect the vanilla SD40-2
-Enable order doesn’t matter for this sound mod
