An-2 (according to NATO codification: Colt, colloquial – "Annushka", "Corn") – Soviet light multi-purpose aircraft. It is a piston single-engine biplane with a bracing wing. Serial production was organized on September 9, 1949.

An-2 is used as an agricultural, sports, transport, training, passenger aircraft and is in service with the air forces of many countries. Many planes have been flying for more than 40 years and some of them have logged 20 thousand hours.

An-2 is a universal light aircraft. Takeoff and landing on unprepared lanes, transportation of small loads, work in agriculture, development of the Far North, delivery of passengers and cargo in Siberia, the Far East, all this became available thanks to this aircraft.

An-2 was produced in the USSR, Poland and China. In total, more than 18,000 An-2 were built. Exported to 26 countries.
