Mil Mi8 ‘Hip’
The Mi8 was a transport helicopter designed by the Soviet Union in the 60s. To this day the Mi8 (and its modernised variant the Mo17) is operated by over 50 countries in both a military and civilian capacity.
Features
- Recreation of a historical helicopter: not quite 1:1 and made for use-ability rather than accuracy. (i.e. only one
turbine to make it fit within the fuselage and for efficiency ) - Altitude Hold
- Winch and platform
- 3 Tonne sling load (carried without issue so probably higher and increasing RPS would probably give an even higher capacity)
Issues
- Alt hold can be temperamental if you activate it whilst quickly moving (fine to move once its on)
Possible future additions
- Internal or external fuel tanks for additional range
- Fire-fighting bucket
- Weapons DLC stuff
