Legionary Cohort
This mod adds the Legionary Cohort to the game, for the WRE, ERE and the Roman expedition (Last Roman DLC).
The Lorica Segmentata is not only iconic looking armour, but also provided superior protection to any armour of the time, even those that came after it. Historians argue that the cost involved with the upkeep as they were easily rusted, and the fact each armour needed to custom made for the wearer meant it was not financially viable for the later Empires to continue to use.
This mod is based around those assumptions, and only adds the Legionary Cohort back into the game from a level 3 or 4 barracks, and even though the recruitment cost is not that high the upkeep cost is.
This unit has the testudo, and defensive testudo abilities, and will fight in formation which makes them highly effective against infantry units, They also have high defensive stats.
This mod is not historically accurate, but more based on what could have been if the Empire did not collapse, a return to glory through it’s imperial legions!
