Nuclear scout plane
Nuclear scout plane:
Startup
– On spawn, the reactor rods are inserted and will start heating
– Climb into cockpit and turn main ignition key
– Taxi onto the runway under battery power, the boiler will take 90 secs to start producing steam
– Full throttle, then full propeller pitch to take off
– Landing gear up otherwise it will obscure the camera view
In flight
– Stabilisation available for roll, altitude, heading (toggle buttons)
– Max airspeed about 100 m/s (360 km/h) at a boiler pressure of 9.5
– Safety valve will prevent the pressure getting too high
– Best boiler temp for full throttle operation is 118-119 but you can adjust it, hotter to build up pressure faster
– Recommended to avoid boiler over pressure (indicator light and visible venting steam clouds)
Camera system
– Use seat controls for camera
– When "tracker mode" is active, use the flip switch to "orbit camera point" – the plane will automatically circle wherever the camera is pointing (laser needs to be on)
– Distance will be held more or less constant, but you can increase or decrease the "orbit trim" to spiral inwards/outwards
– You can use the laser to designate a target for the missile that I have also uploaded to the workshop
Missile targeting
– Check that a radio link is established to a missile that has been spawned in somewhere
– Launch button will signal the missile to activate and navigate to the laser point
– Missile ETA to the target will be shown once the missile is airborne
The tank destroyed in the video is the "light class 52L tank" by МОЙ НИГЕР!!, sorry 🙁
