Skill Revisions and Additions
A mod featuring both new and revised skills, designed to enhance the vanilla game without adding too much.
If you’re familiar with "JR’s Skill Tree Overhaul" from Warhammer 2, then this is the sequel!
- Most Warhammer 1 and 3 races have revised and improved Campaign Skills. Still working on High Elves, Dark Elves, Lizardmen, Vampire Coast, and Tomb Kings factions.
- Kislev’s Boyars, Cathay’s Magistrates, and all generic Greater Daemon Lords now have special Rank 10 specialisation skills. Other factions will get similar ones in the future. Choose wisely!
- Dragon-Blooded Shugengan Lords and Daemon Heralds have some unique skill trees.
- And other smaller changes!
You can see our list of exact changes in the change logs here on steam. Or alternatively in this document[docs.google.com]. A revised, complete list of changes in a new document will come with Version 2.0 of the mod, once all factions have been touched.

But in general, our changes are focused on these topics:
- Adding interesting Level 10 Specialisation skills to some generic lords.
- Adding interesting short skill trees to other generic lords.
- Rebalance some skills, so they are more useful to pick.
- Add new unique skills to Legendary Lords that have lacklustre skill trees.
- Fix minor issues and oversights, such as skills that should influence a certain unit but don’t.
While we’re pretty confident in where the mod is right now, the work isn’t done yet! Future additional changes include:
- Adding remaining races/lords not touched by the mod yet.
- Adding compatibility with other mods, i.e. Mixu’s lords.
- Revising Agent skills, as we currently only touch Lord skills (which needed the most work).
- Additional changes and additions, based off community feedback.
- Figure out the best way for Battle Skills to affect all faction units, due to the ability to gain them via Allegiance and faction specific mechanics.
This mod will sometimes have compatibility issues with other Skill Mods, depending on where they put skills. Compatibility will require either the other mod to move their skills, or someone to make a compatibility patch mod.
We do not advise using this mod with existing save games! When skills get moved around, the points in them get lost to the void. Including the AI armies.
If you really must however… We advise using something like One Button Respec or One Button Respect (no cost) before you install SRA. Use one to remove all points spent on all your lords, save your game, then install this mod. The AI lords will loose some of their skill points, but oh well!
